Left Handed Knitter

Look what I have finally learned how to do!!!!
I have tried for so many years to knit and have failed each and every time.
The problem....I'm left handed!
Everyone that I know that knits is right handed so when I try to learn from them I have to watch them and then reverse each step which NEVER works!
I've also read through many a knitting books and have tried to learn from the little picture diagrams....well that hasn't worked either.

All of you other knitting bloggers inspire me with your wonderful creations. So much that I was bound and determined to find a way to learn.
Thanks goodness for the internet and YouTube!
A simple search on Google led me HERE where I have an instant teacher (and one who is left handed) that I can start and pause how ever many times I may need until I get the stitch down.
I started out with a purple yarn but quickly switched to a cotton. It seemed much easier to work with as I was learning to juggle needles and thread within my fingers.
Now don't laugh!
These are the first stitches that I created. It's nothing more than a practice piece and look how many holes are in it. I definitely need more practice.
I continued and then moved on to some soft pink baby yarn. My hope is to make Katie a soft winter scarf. (without holes :0)
Now that I have the basic stitch down I need to go back and learn the rest of the stitches. I think that will take some time though to learn them all and to memorize them well enough to be able to read a pattern and know what each stitch means. But that's OK.
I'm just tickled that I can finally do it!
