My Mother-in-law always talked of how good this dish was but I had never tried it till Sunday. I decided to give it a try so I made it to take to Mom & Dad's for dinner and it was pretty tasty. A definite keeper!
Scalloped Cabbage
1 head of cabbage
bread crumbs
1 1/2 cups Velveeta, cubed
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 cup milk
salt & pepper
Clean & chop cabbage.
Place in boiling water and let cook 15-20 minutes.
Drain cabbage & place in a greased 13x9 pan.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Add Velveeta chunks on top.
In a skillet, melt butter and then add flour.
Let cook for a minute while stirring so it doesn't burn.
Add milk and let it cook till it becomes thick and bubbly.
You can add a bit more salt and pepper to this sauce if you wish.
Remove from heat and pour over cabbage.
Top with bread crumbs.
Bake uncovered in a 350° oven for 1 hour.

I love cabbage! I'm going to try yr recipe but being a very lazy cook, I'm going to use those new Velveeta "shreds" or "crumbs" that are already in tiny piecs! They are soooo easy to use! Tee hee!

Dear Jessica,
What a wonderful and blessed blog you have. This is my first time visiting and I am signing up as a follower...I don't want to miss a recipe
How can I get your Glen Beck graphic.....9 principles/12 values that is in your left hand column
I love Glen Beck but he is just a man.....what I love about the man is his love of JESUS and he doesn't even whisper when he says his name 2. his love for his family 3. his love for the country values as they use to be 4. his honesty and he never forgets from which he was saved from.....I am a female but that is how I feel....anyway I didn't mean to make this post about Glen but you have my admiration and support and prayers for home schooling your children.....I can think of no greater job with no greater value
Stop by and see me if you get a chance and I hope you will join me as a follower.
angel hugs
