Busy Making Changes

Just wanted to pop in for a moment. I only got on yesterday for a few minutes because I was busy in the kitchen all day. This time I wasn't cooking...I'm painting!

We have lived in this house for 8 years now and have slowly remodeled the whole first floor & half of the second floor. So what is left to do is the rest of the 2nd floor and then the 3rd floor upstairs bedroom. But before we can do that we really need to put a new roof on and side the house.

So my poor kitchen...you know , the room that I spend the most of my time in, will be one of the last BIG projects that we do. Like in the year 2015 with my luck!

So the quickest and cheapest way that I, myself, could make an improvement was to paint.

Take note of those red bricks because that is my most favorite change of all!

Right now I have the room torn apart and work is still in progress.

So I'm off to get busy again and I'll take some new pictures to share with you hopefully tomorrow.

Your kitchen will look so nice...I can't wait to see the finished pictures..I love redoing things...I don't have a back splash of any kind...just painted dry wall...I put a border up until I get some tiles to do a back splash...but like you the room we spend the most time in is always last...I think it is because it is the most expensive to do..Painting always improves things....Lisa

Oh I love seeing home improvement projects!!!Hubby always said I should have been a realtor as much as I love seeing other peoples' houses, lol! Ours needs a new roof too, but the estimate we got was $ 6,000. so it will be A WHILE! Have fun, can't wait to see your kitchen!

I'll bet you brighten things up a bit! My husband's a bricklayer and usually squalls when someone paints brick but honestly a lot of it NEEDS to be painted. I can't wait to see what you're doing.

We were very lucky in that our roof was about to go, and then there was a big hailstorm that destroyed 40,000 roofs in Midland. Yep. 40K. Almost every roof!!! All you hear all day, every day, is nail guns as the crews work frantically to reroof everyone....insurance paid in our case, thank goodness...

I love yr redo already! It is going to look so fresh!
