Fireworks seen from our front porch
The end of our holiday break is quickly approaching.We all will be starting back to work and school on Monday. Hopefully well rested and ready to go!
Yesterday's weather was super. My thermometer was reading the low 60's by afternoon. What a change from the below freezing temperatures that we've had for the past month. I love the winter and the SNOW however yesterday really made me want spring to get here fast.
Remember the pink gun that Katie got for Christmas?
Well guess who took it!
Her gun seemed to be right on target. We had paper targets and balloons set up to shoot at. The balloons were a hit. We didn't have to tromp through the mud to see where you hit each time.
In the evening we played board games and then at midnight we went outside to ring in the New Year. Lots of fireworks, horns, hootin' and hollerin' going on all around our neighborhood.
Needless to say it was a late night for all and some are still sacked out on the couch.

LOL...your hubby looks like quite the sharpshooter with that pink gun, HAHA!!! I didn't stay up, but woke briefly at midnight to gunshots in the distance. Hope 2011 is a wonderful year for all of you ((HUGS))

Hey Jessica, looks like everyone had a wonderful new years. I'm so glad I found your blog last year. 2011 is going to be a great year!
I didn't stay up, but woke up hearing firecrackers and gunshots.
Looks like you all had a great time! My brother got his kids BB guns too. :)

BB guns were a big favorite of mine as a kid. Great idea with the balloons. Happy New Year!
