Promises & Borders Block #1

I finally finished block #1 of the Promises & Borders BOM.
I grabbed my needle and thread and headed to the couch last night to watch the new movie Courageous and *WOW* what a good movie it was!
While I was sitting there I hand stitched the border around my stitchery and then added the little side piece to it. I love how it turned out.
I had a hard time choosing which fabrics I wanted to do this quilt in but now after seeing the first block done I'm so glad I went with what I did.
With that block complete my hands are idle so I might as well begin working again on my crocheted afghan.
Can't wait to begin the next Promises and Border Block though! (Hurry up Feb. 3)
If you'd like to join in on the Promises & Borders quilt block you can find the link to it on my right side bar. Jenny will be posting a new block each month on the 3rd from January to October.

That's beautiful! Don't worry, I'm not going to quit blogging, I just thought with my new one I don't have to think of so much to say;) I do like looking back through at all the old posts though, maybe I'm just in a mood...lol!

You sure do good work. I don't have the patience to sit down and do that, but I love seeing it done by others. Good job.

I love your block Jessica! The fabrics are so pretty and go so well with it! Not much sewing going on here this week. I've been busy with other things. Hopefully, this weekend I'll get back to sewing more. Tomorrow is Jenny's next block!!! Yippee!!!
