Promises & Borders Block 5

Here's the latest block that I've been working on for the Promises & Borders Quilt. I finished it one day last week while sitting around resting my ankle a bit.
I love working with these fabrics and colors but I must admit after stitching 5 blocks in all the same shades I can't wait to work with other colors and prints.

I do still have my redwork project going along but lately I haven't stitched much on it.
That's because I've also got these hexies that I've been making.
I will never be bored as long as I have needle and thread in my hand!!

good for you keeping up with Jenny's blocks. That vanilla cake recipe looks really good. Pound cake is one of my favorite desserts.
