Our Winter Wonderland

We finally got some snow!

I was hoping Santa brought us some snow for Christmas but this is better.

The icy roads make it tough to travel, well I shouldn't really say tough but they make me worry when I know loved ones are out and about on them.

So being that it was a Saturday, everyone was home and off the roads so I didn't have to worry about them all day.

Plus the snow makes it feel more Christmasy. :)

Is that even a word?

It's been a busy day ~ still trying to get the last minute things done before Jolly Old Saint Nick arrives.

Here's just a tiny peak at our day.

The photo above is taken from my 2nd story porch looking down our street when I first got up this morning.

Below is my husband just starting to shovel our sidewalk.

We always shovel our sidewalk as well as a few of the neighbors. We started out with shovels then finally put the blade on the tractor and finished it with that. Or shall I say He finished it.

While he rode the tractor I headed back indoors and baked a few more cookies and our evening was spent getting all the packages wrapped.

Now we should be just about done.

Just a few more cookies to be made and the last minute cleaning and then we can sit back and enjoy....and breathe. :)

This last picture is looking out my back door.

The trees were so pretty today all weighted down with the white fluff. Speaking of fluff, I think I'm gonna go fluff my pillow and get a good nights rest.

Nighty Night!

Here in Minnesota we are soooo jealous! It sure is beautiful - but I agree it does make something to worry about when family is out and about on the roads... Happy snow day!

Your snow is beautiful. You had more than we did here in NC. We had about three inches where we live and it was beautiful. I am glad it came when it did rather than later this week when our son and his wife are flying in from CA. I wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year.
Love,
Marie

Happy snow day, Jessica! Did your kids get the day off like so many did today? Looks like you're surviving in grand style.

Lots of work moving snow around, but it sure looks like a winter wonderland. I love snow. Cookies sound wonderful!

We've got snow too. Still looks pretty and the added bonus that the streets and sidewalks are clear. I was worried I'd be slip sliding home tonight, but happy walking.

Hi Jessica! I have been anxious to get on my blog and get back into catching up with everyone. As you may have already seen, harvest has kept my husband and I very busy! The computer becomes the last priority, which really is a shame. I so love your blog and hearing from you. :)

We got snow here to over the weekend and it has helped to put me in the Christmas spirit a little bit more that I already am excited about. :) Basically all we got was enough to dust the ground pretty good on Saturday and Sunday. It is still here and still rather pretty too. :)

Merry Christmas! I hope that you and your family are blessed very much this year.

Hugs and blessings,
Stacey

Sorry once it has been so long once again. I also wanted to let you know that I just love the pillow that you made me and it looks so perfect in our living room and I think of you every time I see it! :) Hope to hear from you soon.
