Honey Glazed Carrots


Just a quick recipe to share today and then I'm off to work on my quilt for the day. Schools have been cancelled again due to the forecast of another 5-10" of the white stuff. So for me, it's a day off from teaching and I hope to make the most of it.


Honey Glazed Carrots


12 carrots
1/4 cup butter
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. water
parsley

Clean carrots and cut into 3 inch pieces.
Cook carrots in water till tender.
Drain and place in a bowl.
In a saucepan, melt butter, brown sugar, honey and water.
Stir until well combined.
Add carrots & let simmer on low.
Turn carrots so that glaze coats all sides.
Remove from pan and sprinkle with parsley.

Those carrots look great! We love carrots about any way you cook them. I'm definately going to try these.

Whoa, those carrots look good. I'll have to fix them like that for me - hubby doesn't like cooked carrots - but maybe i'll get him to try. Have a great day.

Yummm, I love glazed carrots. Thanks for the recipe. We are getting the white stuff too; another 7-14 inches on top of the 30 that fell in our area over the weekend. Stay warm.

I am so glad the recipe calls for "real" carrots. I have noticed that the baby carrots cannot compare with the long carrots (actual baby carrots can, but not those pieces they sell)...such a delicious-looking recipe -- I rate it FOURTEEN CARATS!!!

This looks great. I go with "real" carrots, too. Don't mind a little peeling at all. Keep warm and cozy.
