Need a Healthy Snack?
Try these roasted kale chips in place of potato chips!
Delicate yet crispy with lots of salty goodness.
Dinner was at Mom & Dad's yesterday and when I walked into their kitchen I saw this crispy and slightly browned bowl of "weeds" sitting on the counter.
"What in the world is that?", I asked.
Mom informed me that it was roasted kale.
Well, I'm not a big fan of kale but I had to try this.
CRUNCH...CRUNCH
MMMMMMmmmmm....it was actually good!
Good enough that my husband even liked them and trust me that's saying something. He's a man who calls vegetables "rabbit food" and eats very little of them. Actually, now that I think of it he probably never even knew what kale was let alone what it tasted like before yesterday.
Roasted Kale Chips
Wash and dry kale.
Place on a greased baking sheet in a single layer.
Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle generously with sea salt.
Roast in a 275 degree oven for 20 minutes.
Carefully turn kale over and bake another 20 minutes or until crisp.
Cool and enjoy!

Now that sounds really good to me. A substitute for chips--who ever thought of using kale like that?
LOL, can imagine the look on your face when you spotted the crispy *weeds*! I don't think I've ever tasted Kale although I have given to the bunnies before and they liked it, may have to try this sometime!
How interesting! I have never heard of roasted Kale. I am not sure I could convince my hubby to try this one. Blessings!
I have heard how good kale is for you, but the only way I like to eat it, is my store bought ice-cream! I don't even taste it in there! But now you've got me wanting to try it. If your husband liked it, then it must be doable.
