A Day for the Girls

Hi all,

Yesterday both of my boys went with their aunt and cousin for the day so that left Katie and I at home all by our lonesome.
Hmmmm....what shall we do for the day?
Well, we had a few errands to run in the morning and then we decided to work on a new quilt for Katie.
I've had the Cinderella fabric for quite some time and that is what she grabbed first. Then we just used some odd and end scrap strips and began piecing them together.
Katie helped by cutting out all the Cinderella blocks. A few got cut a tad too small so that is why one whole row is missing the bottom border. Oh well!
Not bad for a last minute idea. It's by far perfect but she's quite happy with it and it kept her entertained for the day.
We finished the quilt top a little after lunchtime and we were hungry. We grabbed some lunch from out and took it down by the river to eat as we watched the river traffic while sitting under the shade trees.
After our bellies were full we played at the playground a bit and then Pap called wanting to take a bike ride. So we headed home to load the bikes and then back to the river to get on the bike trail.

Today I hope to get the backing done for Katie's quilt.

Tomorrow my new stove is being delivered which I won't hold my breath on that. I'll believe it when it gets here.
Other than that our weekend will probably be spent cutting grass and cooling off in the pool.
Hope you all have a good one!
