Concrete Poured and Lions & Tigers & Bears...Oh My!

It's been a few day since I posted so I thought I'd get on and catch up a little.
The rain began falling Sunday night but not enough to ruin Monday's pour. The guys got the sidewalk all done by noon and we double roped it off in hopes to keep the deer off of it until it was good and dry. It worked! No hoof prints anywhere.
I love watching the deer early in the morning but on the flip side they are ruining my mums. I watched a buck eating acrons under the tree at my parents house this morning then he crossed the street and came to my house to chomp on my mums...grrr!
These are last years mums...much prettier than the current ones.

Speaking of animals...did any of you see the news this morning about the wild animals that escaped from a preserve in Zanesville, OH?
Lions and tigers and bears...Oh MY!
I just can't imagine!
Schools were closed and people were asked to stay indoors until all the animals can be found. Flashing signs along the interstate say Exotic animals...stay in vehicle.
Our local news at noon stated that all were found and taken care of (most killed for public safety)except for a monkey, grizzly bear and Mt. lion that are still running loose. Sad to see all those poor animals killed but for everyone's safety it needed done.
Here's a few links if you care to read about it.

Jessica, The side walk looks great... Yes I heard about the animals...The whole thing is why were the animals there if he had been in jail for animal abuse? They should not have been there. I feel bad about all of them but yes your right they have to protect the public... What a scare it must have been...Lisa

News tonight said he turned them loose before he took his own life. I guess he had lost his mind too if he thought that was a good idea. Poor animals and community around there.

I did hear about that, sad story for the animals' sake:( The sidewalk looks great! Deer are getting so domesticated these days, my neighbor had a bear at their bird feeder recently, hoping Kiah never sees one:O

Love our Mums, I never know when to trim them back so they will not be so long legged.

Heard about the animals also and it was sad, but I did't hear the entire story.

Love the side walk, I need to hire you guys!

Your dad's sidewalk looks great! Glad you were able to keep the deer off it! I never thought about deer hoof prints in fresh pavement! lol

I just don't understand how anyone can have and feed that many wild animals like that! I wonder if they will find out why he killed himself. Here's another link to the story here at my local news.

Yippee! I bet your glad that's all done! Looks great!
I feel bad for all those animals!
But I would be freaking out if a big mt. lion was laying by my patio door.

Always nice to have new cement cure without ending up with lots of prints of critters, puppies and kids! The loose animal story made national news and of course now all states will be checking into their laws to prevent something like this happening again. Actually a sad story. As I'm writing thi, your little pillows are looking at me. So very cute!!! Have a great day, jo
